The Marketing Content Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing a cohesive content strategy that supports both internal and external communications. This role serves as the primary storyteller for the organization, ensuring messaging is aligned, consistent, and reflective of the company’s brand and business priorities.

This position blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, owning key content initiatives while supporting day-to-day marketing deliverables across multiple channels.

This in-office position is located at the company’s headquarters in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and will report to Erinn Bocock, Director of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Editorial Planning

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive editorial calendar that aligns internal and external communications
  • Ensure content efforts are strategically prioritized, coordinated across teams, and tied to broader business goals
  • Partner with marketing leadership to identify high-impact storytelling opportunities

Signature Content Initiatives

  • Lead content strategy, concept development, and execution for flagship marketing assets, including: Annual Company Brochure, Quarterly Company Magazine, Long-form storytelling projects (e.g., company cookbook).

Day-to-Day Content Development

  • Own strategy and copywriting for ongoing marketing deliverables, including:
  • Website content and SEO-driven articles
  • Email communications and campaigns
  • Advertising messaging and campaign copy
  • Video scripting and storyboarding

Executive & Leadership Communications

  • Develop messaging, talking points, and written communications for leadership
  • Translate complex business topics into clear, compelling narratives
  • Support internal communications initiatives as needed to reinforce company culture and engagement

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Experience: A minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a Communications Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Operations, or similar role.

Required Skills:

  • Proactive, self-directed, and solutions-oriented
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats
  • Experience developing content strategies and editorial calendars
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital content optimization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a role supporting multi-region or multi-office teams
  • Proficiency in project management tools, such as Monday.com
  • Proficiency in website updates and CMS platforms, such as WordPress
