Job Description: 

MMR is seeking Electrical Estimator candidates. The responsibilities would include, but not limited to, the following: 

• Review proposal specifications, customer drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to understand scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Perform material quantity take-off from customer documents, compile project anticipated indirect costs.
• Evaluate areas for potential value engineering cost savings.
• Be comfortable soliciting RFQ documents to potential subcontractors supporting main scope of work.
• Ensure all working documents are maintained in centralized location to ensure latest project file at all times.
• Develop labor productivity and (installation unit costs per NECA standard) based on projected site conditions and historical data.
• Prepare detailed listing of material and equipment items for the estimate and to obtain quotes.
• Responsible for the timely completion of estimates.
• Draft scope/proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects.
• Upon award, meet with the site Project Management team to ensure fluid handover process.

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

• Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages, specifications or engineering design drawings
• Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred
• Experience in commercial / industrial construction is preferred
• Must have knowledge in estimating, scheduling, and purchasing
• Experience with Primavera P6 preferred
• Ability to read and understand a CPM schedule and identify critical paths
• Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
• BS in Construction Management or related field experience
• At least 3-5 years relevant work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player with attention to detail is a must
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and some weekends as needed
• Regular and reliable attendance at work
